Kent MacLeod is a graduate of the University of Toronto. Kent is one of the leading world authorities on the impact of nutrition on the biochemistry of individual disease states. Well known for his expertise in Bio-Identical Hormone replacement and women’s issues, MacLeod has the unique ability to simplify the complex aspects of pharmaceutical and nutraceutical approaches so that patients walk away not only healthier but better educated. As Founder and Clinical Director of NutriChem Medical Centre, he works with the Centre's medical team to ensure that patients receive the best combination of conventional and natural treatments for disease management. He is the recipient of the Ontario Pharmacists Association Distinguished Practice Award as well as the 2004 Outstanding Service Award for Innovation. He is the author if a book entitled: “Down Syndrome and Vitamin Therapy: Unlocking the Secrets of Health, Behavior and Intelligence”.
Lois Carroll, B.Sc. Chemistry
Compounding Lab Manager, NutriChem Compounding Laboratory
Lois Carroll is a graduate of Carleton University, where she successfully obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry. She joined our organization nineteen years ago, beginning in the role of Pharmacy Technician in the dispensary at NutriChem Pharmacy. She moved from this position in 1995 as NutriChem began to develop and expand their compounding facilities. Promoted to Compounding Lab Manager in 1995, Lois learned to appreciate the value of providing highly individualized solutions to accommodate patient needs.
Through NutriChem’s Compounding Lab, patients are offered a multitude of unique solutions to handle their health needs, both through customized vitamin supplementation and the development of custom compounded prescriptions.
In her role at NutriChem, Lois is responsible for motivating a team of Compounding Lab Technicians, as well as working with Health Canada to ensure that stringent Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) are adhered to.
Cheryl Janes, B.Sc. Biology
Laboratory Manager, NutriChem Biomedical Laboratory
Cheryl Janes is a graduate of Acadia University, where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. She joined NutriChem four years ago, beginning in the role of Laboratory Technician for the International Centre for Metabolic Testing (ICMT) in 2002.
Now in her current role as the Laboratory Manager for NutriChem Lab (ICMT and NutriChem merged in 2006), she is responsible for overseeing and monitoring the testing process. Her main duty is supporting professionals and patients in their actions towards better health and quality of life.
Cheryl is focused on utilizing state-of-the-art testing to determine the unique biochemistry of each and every patient who comes to NutriChem Lab. Through this extensive testing process, Cheryl is able to discover nutritional deficiencies, metabolic blockages, gastrointestinal health issues, and other metabolic factors that might be compromising a person’s ability to live to their healthiest potential.
Janice Visinski, RHN, RNCP
Body Chemistry Balancing Consultant, Nutrichem Biomedical Clinic
Janice Visinski is a graduate of the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, where she obtained her Registered Nutritional Consulting Practitioner designation (RNCP). As an RNCP, she has met the standards of the International Organization of Nutritional Consultants (IONC). She joined the NutriChem team 2 years ago as Nutrichem’s Front Store Manager. In her role as Front Store Manager, she successfully motivated a team of health counselors on the importance of Product Knowledge and Nutrition. Janice now works as a patient Counselor with the Nutrichem Medical Clinic. This has allowed Janice to talk to people about their nutritional needs as well as helping them improve their health through diet and vitamin supplementation. Since every person is biochemically unique, her main focus is to access the individual’s nutritional imbalances and weaknesses. At NutriChem, Janice is very excited to be Consulting patients by effectively communicating her knowledge of the most current studies and up to date techniques.
Nora Munro, RHN
Front Store Manager, NutriChem Pharmacy
Nora Munro is a recent graduate of the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition where she obtained her Registered Holistic Nutritionist designation. She has over 8 years of experience working in natural health care and nutrition. Nora has joined NutriChem in 2008 as Store Manager. Nora is very excited to work with her team of Health Counselors in ensuring customers are given top notch care and information in regards to nutrition, supplementation and homeopathy. At Nutrichem, Nora is committed to providing customers with the most up to date, cutting edge nutritional remedies for maintenance of optimal health and vitality.
