What is Anemia?

Anemia is a condition in which there aren't enough healthy red blood cells to carry adequate oxygen to your tissues. Anemia can be caused by blood loss, inadequate production of Red Blood Cells, inherited disorder (such as sickle cell), nutritional deficiencies (iron, B12 or pernicious, or from folic acid deficiencies), some kinds of cancer or exposure to a drug or toxin. The cause of anemia, should always be investigated and determined before any treatment is giving.
