Bioimpedance Analysis is an assessment of tissue and fluid compartments in the human body.

Fat Mass
Fat Free Mass
Body Cell Mass (Intracellular Mass)
Extracellular Mass
Total Body Water
Intracellular Water
Extracellular Water

A normal distribution of these compartments in the body is associated with healthy immunity, productivity, physical performance and longevity.

To ensure best results, please observe the following pre-test guidelines:

1. No alcohol consumption within 24 hours prior to taking the test
2. No exercise, caffeine or food within 4 hours prior to taking the test
3. Drink 2-4 glasses of water 2 hours prior to taking the test
4. For the sake of convenience and time, wear socks, anklets or knee-high stockings. Panty hose will have to be removed.

Bioimpedance (BIA) body composition analyzers measure body composition electronically. They do not diagnose disease or recommend treatment regimes. Only a qualified health care professional can make these judgments.
