General Health What is Restless Leg Syndrome?
Restless Leg Syndrome is characterized by uncomfortable urges to move the legs. This usually happens just before falling asleep, which can make it difficult falling or staying asleep. Some of the causes of Restless Leg Syndrome are low iron levels or anemia, a deficiency in magnesium, pregnancy, or certain medications.
Magnesium,Insomnia and Restless Leg
Magnesium has been shown to reduce surgery-related insomnia, and improve sleep in individuals suffering from restless leg syndrome (1-2). Magnesium has a key role in helping to regulate the “biological clock” (3).
