What is Eczema ?
Eczema, also called atopic dermatiits, is a chronic inflammation of the skin that produces scaling, flaking, thickening, itchy and sometimes weeping skin. It is commonly found on the face, wrists, and insides of the elbows and knees. People with eczema often are allergy prone or have a personal or family history of allergic conditions. It has also been linked to abnormalites of the immune system, candidiasis, and to low levels of essential fatty and deficiencies of other nutrients that help keep down inflammation.1
