What is Urinary Incontinence?

Urinary incontinence is the lack of voluntary control over the bladder. Women are more prone to experience urinary incontinence because of physical changes that occur during pregnancy, childbirth and after menopause. Many factors can cause this problem and there are different types of incontinence. Some types of urinary incontinence include:

1/ Stress Incontinence
Stress incontinence is the most common types of incontinence. It is the involuntary loss of small amounts of urine when a person sneezes, coughs, laughs, or performs other physical activities that increase the pressure on the bladder.

2/Urge Incontinence
Is the result of an overactive bladder. It is described as the sudden intense urge to urinate

3/ Reflex Incontinence
This is the loss of sensation to urinate and is often due to spinal cord injury or other neurological impairment.

4/ Total Incontinence
This is the unpredictable loss of urine at all times

We are strong advocates of the classic patient-physician relationship  especially with respect to prescriptions. Any patient that requires a prescription must have a face to face interaction with their physician. FDA's general position: The FDA, due to the current state of their regulations, has taken the position that virtually all shipments of prescription drugs imported from a Canadian pharmacy by a U.S. consumer will violate the law.   If a woman must take hormone replacement therapy to ease the symptoms of menopause she should take the lowest possible dose for the shortest amount of time.

NutriChem does NOT sell prescription drugs online. Visit us in-store.
