Licorice in Activated Charcoal helps relieve inflammatory conditions of the gastrointestinal tract. Activated charcoal is made by heating common charcoal in the presence of a gas that causes the charcoal to develop pores. These pores help the activated charcoal trap many harmful substances in the body. Activated charcoal also helps to reduce diarrhea, flatulence and stomach problems. The flavonoid constituents in the liquorice have been found to stall the growth of H.pylori.
