Suma (Pfaffia paniculata), also known as Brazilian ginseng, is native to the Atlantic rainforest region of Brazil. This wild perennial is used as an adaptogenic and anti-tumour, and is good for sickle cell-anemia and as a sexual stimulant.

Suma has been used in Brazil for centuries as an aphrodisiac, as a tonic for diabetes, for ulcers, and for general wound healing. Suma is currently gaining popularity for use for strength-training, general fatigue associated with daily stress, and chronic fatigue syndrome. Suma is also used as an adaptogen to help the body achieve balance for improved resistance to infections and to stress.
