    Herbolax provides a combination of synergistic herbs known for their ability to stimulate normal bowel function. The soothing combination of herbal ingredients such as Senna Leaf, Chinese Rhubarb Root and Fenugreek Seed cleanse the bowels.

  • Medicinal Ingredients: each tablet contains:

    Senna (Senna alexandrina) Leaf

    280 mg

    Chinese Rhubarb (Rheum palmatum) Root

    65 mg

    Anise (Pimpinella anisum) Seed

    55 mg

    Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum) Seed

    55 mg

    Cascara Sagrada (Frangula purshiana) Bark Extract (3:1)
    (10% Cascarosides / 67.5 mg Dried Equivalent)

    22.5 mg

    Non-medicinal ingredients: Cellulose, hyprolose, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate, silica, pharmaceutical glaze.

  • Adults: Take four tablets daily before bedtime, a few hours before or after taking other medications, or as recommended by your healthcare practitioner. Allow eight to twelve hours for laxative effect to occur. Take two to three times per week; if results are not observed, the frequency of use may be increased up to once daily. Do not use for more than seven days.

    Caution: If you have intestinal obstructions and/or stenosis, chronic gastrointestinal disorder, atony, appendicitis, inflammatory colon diseases such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis, abdominal pain of unknown origin, nausea, fever, vomiting, hemorrhoids, undiagnosed rectal bleeding, a severe dehydration state with water and electrolyte depletion; or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, do not use. If you are taking thiazide diuretics, corticosteroids, licorice root or other medications that may aggravate electrolyte imbalance; or if you are allergic to plants of the Aplaceae/Carrot family, do not use. If you experience abdominal cramps, spasms and/or pain, reduce dose or discontinue use. If you have a kidney disorder or diabetes; or if you are taking heart medications such as cardiac glycosides or antiarrhythmic medications, consult your healthcare practitioner prior to use. If symptoms persist or worsen, consult your healthcare practitioner. Hypersensitivity to senna and cascara sagrada has been known to occur; in which case, discontinue use.

  • Wheat, starch, yeast, gluten, corn, soy, sugar, artificial colouring or flavouring, antimicrobial preservatives and dairy products. Ideal for vegetarians.
