Evening primrose oil is a source of essential fatty acids. Specifically, evening primrose oil is one of the highest combined sources of alpha-linoleic acid (known as omega-6) and GLA (gamma-linolenic acid), a readily useable form of omega-6. Research has shown that the omega-6 series of fatty acids are of value in regulating inflammatory responses, in maintaining neurological health and ensuring nutrient absorption through cell membranes. A diet lacking in nuts and seeds – which are rich sources of EFAs – is a reason to supplement with evening primrose oil. However, the oil may be used in individuals with inflammatory conditions such as arthritis, psoriasis, rosacea, eczema, fibromyalgia, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), prostatitis, and premenstrual syndrome (PMS). Evening Primrose Oil may be helpful for menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes, and dry skin and hair.
Medicinal Ingredients: Each softgel contains:
