The safety, health and well-being of our clients, patients, and staff is always the top priority at NutriChem. As we continue to learn more about the risks of COVID-19 (“coronavirus”) we remain committed to ensuring a safe and positive experience at NutriChem.

We are following the lead of Canadian public health authorities at this important time to implement additional prevention measures as the situation evolves. 

To protect yourself and others, we encourage our customers to take advantage of our online services of all orders including shipping of all orders, both prescriptions and retail products. At this time we will also be seeing all clinic patients remotely through telemedicine services (via video or phone call). 

We are continuing to use best health and safety practices, and making sure that our team is educated and taking necessary precautions at all times. We will be updating this landing page as the situation transpires, so please keep an eye out for updates.

Our operating business hours will be 10:00am - 4:00pm at our 2599 Carling Avenue location (Shipping department, retail, and pharmacy) from Monday-Saturday. As usual, you can shop our online store or virtually fill your prescription through www.nutrichem.com 24/7.

Please note that our virtual clinic hours will be staying the same. If you currently have an appointment booked with one of our practitioners, the timing is to be the same but just be done remotely. If you haven't heard from them yet, our Patient Coordinators will be in touch.

Our East Ottawa Location, 1185 St. Laurent Blvd will be temporarily closed until further notice. Please refer to our online store or Carling Ave location for your needs!

NutriChem strives to empower our clients through this pandemic and will be offering all of our clinical services via telemedicine (video or phone call). Whether you have a current appointment booked, or want to continue to book with us - our knowledgeable practitioners will be happy to see you virtually.

At this time we will not be issuing refunds of any retail products. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. There will be no exceptions to this.

Due to the increased surge in both number, and size of orders - we ask that you be patient at this time with wait times regarding shipping of your orders, returning of voicemails, and congestion on our phone lines. 


Please take note of the following procedures:

Pharmacy/Dispensary 

    • Local prescription deliveries to Kanata and Barrhaven will be sent by courier or standard shipping by Canada Post for no additional charge.
    • Shipping through Canada Post or hand delivery of prescriptions for no additional charge. 
    • Prescription refill requests can also be done at Nutrichem.com and you can also email dispensary@nutrichem.com for any questions or concerns. 
  • How to refill your Rx online
      • Visit www.nutrichem.com 
      • Under the ‘Pharmacy’ tab, click ‘Online Prescription Refill’
      • Follow the prompt in filling your Rx through the portal
      • We will notify you when your prescription is ready to be shipped, or picked up. In store pickups are to be delivered to you outside

       

    Carling & St Laurent Clinic 

      • Starting Tuesday March 17th, our East Ottawa Location, 1185 St. Laurent Blvd will be temporarily closed until further notice.
      • Starting effective immediately, our Carling Avenue Clinic will be seeing all clients remotely via Skype or phone call for the safety of all patients as well as our staff. Please visit www.nutrichem.com if you’ve yet to book an appointment, or give our Patient Coordinators a call.
      • Patient supplements and prescription medication recommendations have the option to be shipped free of charge.

    • Any staff that are sick with cold or flu-like symptoms will stay home. 
    • If staff are traveling they will be required to remain away from work an additional 14 days upon return to Ottawa. 
    • All staff working are wearing frequently updated and changed gloves and masks.

    Clinic 

    What are your clinic hours right now?

    Our clinic hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 10:00am-4:00pm. Please note that the St. Laurent Blvd location is closed until further notice, however, the phones are being forwarded to the Carling Avenue Clinic to support out east end patients.

    How does telemedicine work?

    Our patient coordinator will contact you regarding telemedicine options: secure video link or telephone. At this time, payment information will be collected for the upcoming appointment. Your clinician will contact you via your selected choice for telemedicine. After the consult is complete the patient coordinator will process payment and email your receipt, treatment plan, and follow up instructions. You can book your telemedicine appointment either through our Patient Coordinators, or through our online booking portal!

    How do I process my payments through telemedicine?

    Payment information will be collected prior to your telemedicine consult. Once your consult is complete, the patient coordinator will process payment and send you a receipt via email.

    Can I still come in for IV Therapy, Acupuncture, or Blood Draws? 

    Until further notice, all in-person visits are being rescheduled. We are able to provide off-site requisitions for blood work. Please contact the clinic for more information.

    I called and left a message and haven’t heard back from you. Is that normal?

    Our clinic is receiving/managing a higher than normal volume of emails, phone calls and voicemails. We will get back to you as soon as possible. Please note: messages left after 4pm on Saturday will not be responded to until the following Tuesday. If you have a message regarding supplements, online orders or prescriptions, please do not leave your message on the clinic voicemail.

     

    Carling Avenue Curbside Pickup

    What are your retail hours?

    We have very limited in store access and have one customer at a time between the hours of 10am to 4:00pm. There is one customer allowed at a time with no browsing, but we suggest doing online order or over the phone / Curbside Pickup for convenience. 

    Our front store health counselor will do your shopping for you! Please remember that our online store is available 24/7 for orders. www.nutrichem.com We will ship it to you within 1-4 business days with free shipping on orders $99+ ($10 flat rate shipping otherwise). 

     

    How can I get my order?

    You can have your order picked up at the door, delivered (if in delivery zone) or shipped (free over $99) 

     

    If I don’t want to order online, how can I get my order?

    You can call our front store at 613-820-4200 option 1 and all staff can take your order over the phone, you can pay over the phone and we can either ship your order or have it put aside for door pick up. 

     

    How does Curbside Pickup work?

    Between the hours of 10am to 4:00pm you can come to the front door and a staff member will greet you. Please let us know if you are picking up a prescription or front store products or if the item required refrigeration. If you would like your pre-paid order dropped off to your car please call the front store at 613-820-4200 option 1 when you arrive. 

     

    Can I refund a product?

    Everything currently is FINAL SALE - no returns, refunds or exchanges. Please purchase what you and your family need we are getting in orders everyday. If it is a product you have not tried before please buy a smaller size. 

     

    I need help with my purchase. Is your staff still available for questions?

    Absolutely! Our phone volume can be high at times but we are more than happy to assist and are available for questions. 

     

    How long will it take for my order to ship?

    We are working as fast as we can but we expect for more local shipping to take between 1-4 business days for the time they are processed. If you need something quicker you can call in and place your order for Curside Pickup same-day (depending on volume of order). 

     

    Dispensary / Prescriptions 

     

    What are your pharmacy hours?

    We are open Monday to Saturday between the hours of 10-4pm. We also answer our phones between those hours. 

     

    How can I refill my prescription?

    We have an online prescription refill program through our website. Alternatively you can call us with a refill request. If we do not answer please leave a message and be sure that we check our messages. We are experiencing higher than normal requests so please trust we got your message. We will get back to you within 1-4 business days. 


    How can I get my prescription?

    We are taking pre- payment for prescription requests as we are offering curbside pick-up at our Carling location, delivery, or shipping options. Please let us know your desired pick up method when you call for your request. 

     

    I need a new prescription filled, how does this work?

    We are offering curbside new prescription drop offs at our Carling location. A staff member will meet you at the entrance to bring your prescription in. Alternatively you can email a picture of your prescription to dispensary@nutrichem.com with your contact information. We will process this prescription and will require the hard copy of the prescription upon pick up. 

    How long will my prescription take before I can pick it up?

    We are asking people to be patient with us and please allow 1-4 business days for prescription requests. Please do not come to pickup your prescription or other orders before you hear from us.

     

    Are your  Pharmacists still available for counselling?

    Yes our clinical pharmacists will still be counselling on all new prescriptions. We are offering our counselling curbside or via telephone at this time. 

     

    Is your East Ottawa location currently closed?

    Yes, our 1185 St. Laurent Blvd location is currently closed until further notice. You can refer to our flagship west location or our online store for any of your health needs!

     

    Are blood draws currently happening?

    Until further notice all in-person visits are postponed, this includes blood draws at both locations. We are able to provide off-site requisitions for blood draws for existing NutriChem patients. Please contact the Carling Avenue clinic for more information at 613-721-3669.

     

     

     

     

     

     

    If you are experiencing any cold or flu symptoms or have recently travelled overseas, please do not come to either location and instead contact us either via phone or email for options on how we can get your medication and/or supplements to you. 


    We are actively following the latest updates and recommendations made by Ottawa Public Health, who recommends the following actions to lessen the potential spread of colds, flu and viruses: 

    • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.  
    • Cough or sneeze into the crook of your elbow or into a tissue. Wash your hands immediately afterwards and throw the tissue in the garbage. 
    • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands. 
    • Avoid close contact with people who are sick. 
    • Stay home when you are sick. 
    • If you have fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical care early and share your recent travel history with your healthcare provider
