A Game Changer!
I've struggled with primary insomnia basically my whole life---40+ years. Through the years I've tried everything from natural health products to prescription drugs to CBT-i etc. When I first started taking this 3 years ago, I was taking melatonin to help fall asleep, and five days a week I was relying on Clonazepam (4 out of 5 days), Gravol/Pregabalin (1 out of 5 days) to help with falling back to sleep after waking up in the wee morning hours. In order to have a break from the medications, on the weekends, I would only take melatonin, but this meant I would only sleep 3-4 hours and would generally feel miserable all weekend. Then I discovered Phosphogabamine. I first started taking it before bed, but the few times I tried that, it seemed I had greater trouble falling asleep. I then tried taking it (2 pills) on the weekends when I would wake up in the middle of the night. For the first time, I was able to fall back asleep without prescription medication. I wouldn't fall asleep instantly and my sleep was often fitful and not necessarily refreshing, but this was major progress for me....Long story short---3 years later---except for rare occasions, I no longer take prescription medications (this is after 13 years of taking Clonazepam). I take 1.5 mg of melatonin 30 min before bed and 2 pills of Phosphogabamine when I wake up during the night.
