Dosage and duration
My experience with tyrosine is that I never need the recommended amount. I've read books suggesting 2000 mg. That's far too much for me. Even 250 /500 mg is plenty for me for the 'happy' effect. So I only take one pill a day and not everyday. (I took tyrosine everyday for months then one day I found my hand shaking just getting something from the pharmacy shelf. I asked my doctor if it might be the tyrosine. Her tone of voice was upset when she said "yes", it causes nervousness.
That's over long term use. Even the zinc in this is high enough per day in one pill. The other ingredients I'm not familiar enough with to comment.
So for me one pill once in a while, maybe 2 if my mood (cranky) tells me I need a second. On a really bad mood day I might take more, but try a healthy salad or snack first.
I'm reminded of the words of a Buddhist monk Ajahn Brahm. He gave a women a consent form that allowed her to be grumpy. He's also written a book 'Don't worry, be grumpy', although I haven't read it.
I guess I'm saying it's ok to have a bad mood from time to time. It will pass.
